Not Nav 2017
Dynamics 365 is contrary to what Microsoft itself expressed at EMEA in 2015, not the code name for the newest version of Dynamics NAV (NAV 2017) but an entirely new business solution that brings together business processes with productivity tools in Office 365 and helps small businesses increasing sales, manage finances and streamline the daily operations.
Cloud service
Dynamics 365 is a cloud service that runs on Microsoft's cloud environment Azure. Users can then access the solution through a web browser or mobile apps from Windows, iOs or Android devices.
Dynamics 365 seems to have a special focus on the following four areas:
A new level of productivity
Dynamics 365 reduces the time wasted caused when switching back and forth between business applications and e-mail and automatically identifies the specific business context, such as invoices and quote requests, in Outlook. In this way the user is presented of the tools and data necessary to take immediate decisions - all without leaving Outlook.
In other words, if you know how to use Office you also know how to use Dynamics 365.
Cloud
Dynamics 365 is designed as a multi-tenant cloud service on Azure, which means that small businesses can be up and running quickly, control costs and be confident that their data is protected on scalable enterprise specific data centers.
Power BI
With Power BI in Dynamics 365 data management becomes much easier. Power BI retrieves your data and then builds dashboards and reports based on these data.
- Choose one of seven underlying reports on the dashboard
- Filter the report or add fields that you want to monitor
- Attach the customized view on the dashboard and continue tracking
- The dashboard and the underlying reports are updated daily. You can control the refresh rate on the schedule and change the frequency of the data set.
Mobile
Dynamics 365 is designed for today's mobile workforce and offers an intuitive user experience across almost any type of mobile device. Customers can access the service through a web browser or by using the app to Windows, iOS or Android devices.
Gain access to your data in Dynamics 365 from your mobile device. You can navigate through your business data, use functions for example to send to Excel or Office 365, see updated charts and KPIs, e-mail quote requests and invoices and attach pictures you've taken with the camera in your mobile device.
Developed for Growth
Dynamics 365 is a comprehensive business management solution for small and growing businesses. Companies that need more than the simple financial and accounting tools they first started out with, but are not yet ready to invest in a major customized enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
Without compromising with ease of use or deployment speed Dynamics 365 a self-running business solution in the cloud with functionalities ranging from finance, dimensions, sales and purchasing, inventory, CRM, business insight mm.

What do we recommend?
It is obviously difficult at this stage to be precise about Dynamics 365, but if you represent a medium or a large business it is our advice is that you focus on an ERP system that is better suited for that type of companies. A solution which is better suited for business specific customization and advanced needs. As a highly specialized partner with long experience and an excellent reputation in the industry it is probably not surprising that the ERP system we suggest are of course Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
