How it Started: The Beginning of Better Corporate Gifting
ParsonsKellogg president Tom Kellogg is a proud alumnus of Vanderbilt University, class of 1984. During his time there, he formed a close bond with fellow student Mike Wiggins. Mike went on to become a respected orthopedic surgeon, a devoted family man—and a beloved friend to so many. Mike’s life was tragically cut short in 2009, leaving his loved ones in deep mourning…and with a profound realization: Life should be celebrated while we’re living it.
So, Mike’s friends all made a pact. Once a year, for one day—just 24 hours—the group would gather in Nashville, Tennessee to honor the memory of their friend Mike (and have a great time doing it). From Vandy Hoops games to golf trips, to bus rides spent belting out 80’s songs, a cherished annual tradition took hold, and ‘24’ was born. The feeling of camaraderie, community, and strengthened bonds gave Tom Kellogg inspiration for a new business vision. Why shouldn’t every event—be it a class reunion or a sales incentive meeting—be meaningful?
Tom got to work giving corporate gifting and events an upgrade.
